Our Mission
At Balance Behavioral Health, we believe that real healing requires more than a diagnosis and a prescription. It requires being truly known, understood in the fullness of your history, your patterns, and your experience of the world.
Our mission is to provide care that honors both the science of the brain and the depth of the human story. We integrate evidence-based medication management with a psychodynamic, trauma-informed approach, not because we believe every patient needs both, but because we believe every patient deserves care that is genuinely tailored to who they are.
We work with adolescents and adults navigating some of the most complex terrain that mental health care encounters: intersecting mood disorders, ADHD, trauma histories, and the relational patterns that can quietly sustain suffering long after the original wound. Our goal is not simply symptom relief, though that matters. It is understanding. Integration. A relationship with yourself that makes lasting change possible.
How We Can Help

1
Diagnostic Services
An accurate diagnosis is the foundation of meaningful treatment. At Balance Behavioral Health, diagnosis is a process of collaborative inquiry: one that takes seriously your full history, the complexity of your symptoms, and the ways that trauma, mood, and relationships interact. Whether you are seeking integrated care or medication management alone, including patients referred by an outside therapist, our diagnostic process builds the complete picture your treatment requires. We utilize comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, TOVA testing, GeneSight pharmacogenomics, and lab tests. The initial evaluation is conducted in-office; telemedicine is available for all follow-up care.
2
Medication Management & Telemedicine
At Balance Behavioral Health, prescribing is never reflexive; it is always collaborative, contextualized, and integrated with a clear understanding of what you are working toward. Medication management is available as a standalone service, including for patients referred by an outside therapist or those who prefer to keep prescribing and psychotherapy separate. The initial evaluation is conducted in-office; telemedicine is available across Georgia for all follow-up visits.
3
Counseling and Psychotherapy
The therapeutic relationship is not incidental to healing; it is the mechanism. Our psychotherapeutic approach draws from psychodynamic and object-relations theory, grounded in the understanding that lasting change comes from making the unconscious visible: the relational cycles, self-protective patterns, and disowned aspects of experience that quietly shape how we move through the world. If you have an existing therapist, we coordinate care collaboratively.
